The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) is organising a 3-Days Mega Job Fair 2023 from 15th June 2023 to 17th June 2023 at DSEU Okhla II and CHAMPS Campuses. The inaugural session of the DSEU Mega Job Fair 2023 commenced with great enthusiasm in the morning session of 15th June, 2023 in the Seminar Hall of DSEU Okhla II Campus.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Prof. (Dr.) Amita Dev.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted the role of universities and educational institutions in nurturing the skills and talents of the youth. She stressed upon the need for industry-academia collaboration to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the requirements of the job market. Prof. Dev expressed her confidence in the participating companies’ ability to recognize and appreciated the potential of the students and job seekers present at the fair. She emphasized on the importance of skill development and entrepreneurship in today’s rapidly evolving job market and also towards converting our demographic dividend into precious resources or it may become demographic challenge.
Additionally, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Prof. Dr. Rihan Khan Suri, graced the event with his presence. His commitment to promoting skill development and entrepreneurship has been an inspiration to the participants. The event witnessed the presence of campus directors from different DSEU campuses, who actively participated in making the job fair a success.
The significance of the job fair in bridging the gap between industry requirements and the skill sets of young professionals was also highlighted by the organizing team. DSEU’s unique industry integration practices in all domains of student activities were also discussed inviting industry partners to participate in other industry integrated activities of the University. It is worth noting that this year’s DSEU Mega Job Fair has witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 3000 students from various universities in Delhi registering for the event.
This demonstrates the immense interest and eagerness of the student community to explore employment opportunities and kick-start their careers. To cater to the demand for talent, more than 100 participating companies have brought forth around 2500 vacancies across different sectors. This remarkable number of opportunities further solidifies the significance of the job fair in connecting job seekers with potential employers and addressing the unemployment challenges faced by the youth. The participating companies will have the opportunity to interact with talented individuals from engineering, management, computer science, and other disciplines, providing them with employment opportunities and internships.
The inaugural session set a positive and encouraging tone for the DSEU Mega Job Fair 2023, and it is anticipated that the Mega Job Fair 2023 initiative of the University will set new placement standards.
