Amritsar, August 22, 2023: As per media reports members of the newly formed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Employees’ Union submitted their first charter of demands to SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami.
The employees raised the issue of releasing their dues and regularisation of contractual workers.
The union was formed and got registered with the Registrar, Trade Union, Punjab, on July 17.
Members of the SGPC Employees’ Union had said that the organisation has been formed with the sole objective of having a platform to voice their concerns.
