SGPC continues to provide relief services in flood-affected areas of Punjab

Amritsar, August 25, 2023: The relief services are continuously being provided by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in the flood-affected areas in Punjab. Langar (food from the community kitchen) and other necessary items are being delivered to the needy from Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Tarn Taran, Gurdwara Sri Bauli Sahib Goindwal Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Charan Kanwal Sahib Banga and Gurdwara Sahib Bajidpur Ferozepur.

 

The SGPC secretary Partap Singh said that in addition to providing langar prepared from Gurdwara Sahibs for the people trapped due to second-time floods in some areas of Punjab, special arrangement has also been made for fodder for livestock. He said that the relief teams are working under the instructions issued by the SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.

 

Partap Singh said that apart from langar for people, corn pickle and green fodder are arranged for livestock.

 

He said that with its relief services the SGPC reached Nagar Mandi Harike, Vairowal Banh, Rajewal, Dhunda Kave, Hussainpur, Mirzapur, Tendi Wala, Kalu Wala, Hazara Singh Wala, Gatti Rajoke, Ghajni Wala, Chak Hazare Wala, Hussainiwala, Muthean Wala, Bandala, Ashi Ke, Rode Wala, Gatta Badshah, Ale Wala, Fatewala, Mashi Ke, Sultan Wala, Nizam Wala, Chandi Wala, Bhaneke, Bhakhra, Jhandian Wala, Khunder Gatti, Jalloke, Kalu Wala, Kilche, Kawan Wala Pattan, Hast Kalan, Bagge Wala, Bhange Wala, Basti Ram Lal.

 

He said that the SGPC considers it its duty to stand with humanity in times of difficulty and as per the path shown by the Gurus the Sikh organization is continuously working for the needy. He appealed to the Sangat that the needy should contact the nearby Gurdwara Sahibs managed by the SGPC so that langar and other necessary services can be provided to them.
