SGPC Chief expresses grief over demise of Prof Prithipal Singh Kapoor

Amritsar, September 7, 2023: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Chief Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the demise of eminent Sikh scholar Prof Prithipal Singh Kapur. He said that Prof Kapur contributed to the field of research and teaching of Sikh history for more than half a century.

His original research works related to Sikh history, traditions and heritage will always guide students and readers of history. Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Prof Prithipal Singh Kapur also rendered memorable services while being a member of the SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee and continued to give many valuable suggestions for Sikh Prachar (preaching).

He said that with Prof Kapur’s demise, the Sikh panth has lost an enlightened scholar, whose replacement is impossible.

SGPC President expressing his condolences to the family of Prof Prithipal Singh Kapur, prayed for the departed soul may rest in peace.
