Moga, November 7, 2023: As per media reports, Deputy Commissioner Moga has suspended the Numberdar of village Fatehgarh on rising stubble burning cases in district Moga.
According to the news published, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner has written that Jagsir Singh Nambardar has set fire to the paddy stubble in his fields. When the villagers stopped him, he did not stop.
The DC ordered to suspend Jagsir Singh from the post of Nambardar till further orders under ‘The Punjab Land Revenue Rules 25(1)(b).
He said that he also asked other farmers to burn the residue. All the residents of the village Fatehgarh Korotana requested the administration to take action against Jagsir Singh Nambardar.
