Chandigarh, August 23, 2023: As per media reports, Due to the rains in different districts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and the possibility of further rains Punjab Government today declared holidays in all the schools in state, This was announced by Education minister Harjot Singh Bains.
Bains said that Chief Minister Bhagwatn Mann has desired that schools should be closed for three days due to heavy rain prediction in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
The order will be applicable to all private and aided schools as well.
All schools in Punjab will remain closed till Sunday, August 27. The order comes into effect immediately i.e. from Aug 23.
