Amritsar, September 21, 2023: Expressing anguish over the acquittal of Sajjan Kumar and other accused in the case related to the incident in Sultanpuri area during the 1984 Delhi Sikh massacre, SGPC’s President Advocate Harcharn Singh Dhami said that it has caused a deep mental injury to the victims who have been struggling for justice for 38 years.
SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that due to the lax performance of the governments, the accused are being released.
He said that it is the responsibility of the governments to present the truth of anti-Sikh atrocities before the courts. But the governments are proving to be unable to take sides in the right way.
Shiromani Committee president said that Sajjan Kumar is guilty in many cases of Delhi Sikh massacre and is currently serving the sentence in jail. What could be more proof than that.
Advocate Dhami said that the Shiromani Committee will not back down from any legal action in the High Court against this decision to get justice for the victims of the Delhi Sikh Massacre.
